Alnico Magnet Magnet Material Specs & Technical Data

 

Alnico (aluminum–nickel–cobalt) magnets are produced in both cast and sintered forms and offer energy products typically ranging from approximately 2 to 9 MGOe. These materials are characterized by excellent thermal stability, low temperature coefficients, and strong resistance to corrosion, making them well suited for applications operating at elevated temperatures. Common grades include cast Alnico 5 and Alnico 8, with higher-performance grades such as Alnico 5-7 and Alnico 9 used when increased magnetic output is required.
